%X The piece of landscape fragmentation is changing ecosystems process resulting in a lost of habitat and also offering the isolation of vegetation fragments that play several ecologic functions. Thus this current work has as a goal analyze forest fragments status on private areas in the city of São Felix do Xingu - PA, north region of Brazil, through metrics forest fragments. We were developed three metrics: index of complexity of form, index of form and index of contiguity. To complete metrics analyses that were calculated, it was used kernel density analyze, with the purpose to show the concentration of the remaining vegetation degradation. The analyzed metrics were satisfactory for the study of forest remaining fragment situation, that in general this landscape has disaggregation fragments mainly in northeast of area. There is a concern with Triunfo do Xingu Environmental Preserved Area because this is an important forest cover and it do connection with others protect areas. In the other hand, the kernel density show that landscape has 437,26 km² of events related with forest degradation, mainly in settlements area. Besides, is important to say that the kernels analyze of density and metrics shows itself as relevant tools to help in decision-making about proposal of public policies as well as taking actions to preserve biodiversity.
